It took about 95% of the pen mark off. The remains are barely visible! Anyone looking at the bag wouldn see it unless they knew exactly where the mark was to begin with. Good luck!

(I don know if the brand matters, but thought I be specific in case there something special about it unfortunately, my aging eyes can read the ingredients.) I used a soft microfiber cleaning cloth I had bought at my Dollar Tree recently, and rubbed maybe 10 times. The mark became much lighter, but a fainter version of it still remained. Taking a reckless chance, I then turned the cloth over to the metal scrubbing side and rubbed carefully maybe 3 or 4 times. The mark disappeared altogether, but I was left with a grayish smudge stain, which I thought meant I hurt the leather finish. Then I applied an ample amount of Leather CPR Cleaner Conditioner to the smudge area, hoping it would help somehow, and waited the prescribed 60 seconds or so for the cleaner to sit. Then I rubbed the spot hard several times. As the area was now wet, I couldn tell if the mark was gone, so I put the bag in front of the fan I was using by my desk. After a little while, I turned the fan off and went downstairs for supper. The spot on the bag was still wet. When I returned a couple of hours later, the leather cleaner had dried, and the mark was magically gone! And the leather was perfectly clean, without even a hint that there had been a pen mark!
